A gold mine operated 1939-1952 exploiting the same deposit as the adjacent Con Mine, which was operated 1939-2003. The mines were later interconnected. The minerals described by Ridland (1941) are identical for the two mines. Many of the rare species were also confirmed by Colman (1953) by XRD.
