| Comments: | The wavellite occurs in veins up to 15 mm thick and forms radiating yellowish green to bright green acicular crystals, often in rosettes up to 10mm in diameter, and as green botryoidal aggregates. Near the surface the wavellite is a pale yellow green and may be coated with brown limonite. Rosette specimens from deeper levels often show yellow centres with bright green terminations free of limonite. |
