| Comments: | The composition of the various grains and crystals of allanite group minerals are of an intermediate composition between dissakisite-(Ce), dollaseite-(Ce) and allanite-(Ce). Jansson (2001) distinguishes between dissakisite-(Ce) and dollaseite-(Ce) based on paragenesis. Small, anhedral grains and masses embedded in tremolite and larger tabular crystals embedded in calcite lenses within the tremolite are considered to be dissakisite-(Ce), whereas the material embedded in the dolomite marble associated with norbergite and magnetite is considered to be dollaseite-(Ce). The analytical basis for this distinction is quite slim.
