Comments: | A pale reddish mineral that occurs as small rounded spots in grännite rock has been thought to be calciocatapleiite, but no analysis has confirmed this (Thulin 1996). A yellowish-white to yellowish brown mineral (showing none fluorescense in short-wave UV) that occurs as 1-2 cm large spots, also in grännite, thougt to be calciocatapleiite by collectors, was analyzed by EDS-SEM, and was showed to be catapleiite (Thulin 2000): EDS-SEM gave Na2O (8,16 %), Al2O3 (4,52%), SiO2 (49,68%), ZrO2 (28,86%), CaO (8,78 %). | |
