Comments: | "occurs as a hydrothermal alteration of sphalerite and triphylite, in vugs of messelite, with vivianite, at the State Forest Mine in East Hampton. Very few specimens have been found, and they are small; the crystals are green and quite glassy, the largest being about an eighth of an inch in diameter. The author suspected the identity of this material from the time he discovered it, several years ago, but it was not confirmed until recently. Some of the optical data follows: R.
