Cobaltomenite from
El Dragón mine, Antonio Quijarro Province, Potosí, Bolivia

Locality type:Mine
Formula:CoSeO3 · 2H2O
Comments:Much of the material called "cobaltomenite" from El Dragon was identified only by XRD and is really pink cobalt-bearing ahlfeldite. Color is a very unreliable guide, as it takes only a minor amount of Co to change the color from green to pink or purple.
