Comments: | Huntite is soluable in water and has formed above the water table in reaction of serpentine and carbonic acids. The perceived rarity at the site is likely due to weathering, misidentification with magnesite and collectors in the past "cleaning" specimens found, prior to examination. fresh exposure collecting reveals Huntite occuring in plentiful amounts at Cedar Hill. |
