Locality type: | Mine |
Classification |
---|
|
Species: | Aragonite |
Formula: | CaCO3 |
Comments: | The Aragonites I believe have been found twice in separate pockets some 5 years apart. The first pocket/vein was a rich translucent honey colouration and the ones from the pocket whose specimen is pictured here, were mostly clear with some limonite staining and deposition on them. The honey coloured group were in radiating masses, and the most recent ones, which came out about 20 years ago were mostly loose singles, some doubly terminated and small groups of sprays and only a few actually on a dolomite matrix. |
Colour: | Honey-yellow |
