Ancient mines of chalcopyrite and argentiferous galena located at Poggio al Montone, on the left side of Zanca stream. The ore was exploited for silver, copper, and lead in Etruscan times, then during the Middle Ages and in the 19th century. Modern exploration works for mixed sulphides have been performed at the beginning of the 1960s.
