A former surface and underground Zn-Pb-V-Mo-Au-Ag-Cu-Mn mine on 20 unpatented lode claims, located in the S½NE¼ sec. 17, T3S, R29E, 7.0 miles N of Morenci; 1.5 miles S of Granville recreation area, on National Forest land. Unpatented claims extend through secs. 8-17 & 18, T2S, R29E. Claims lie near the summit and on the SE slopes of Enebro Mountain. The Lime Cap Mine is near Crystal Cave to the west of old highway 666 (now route 191), and is on the north side of a 1.0 mile long dirt road extending onto the property; 5500 to 7000 feet of elevation. Discovered in 1916 by Manuel Calderon. Produced 1940-1941. Owners included S.G. Murillo; Matt Danenhaver; Ed Danenhaver; George Danenhaver; and, Charles K. Barnes. Operated by Mr. Matt Danenhaver of Clifton, AZ (1957).; Other operators included D.B. Leake, and Louis Huber.

Mineralization is a flat, tabular ore body, 3.05 meters thick, striking E-W and dipping 10N, hosted in Modoc Limestone and Morenci Shale. Maximum length of outcrop exceeds 1.0 mile (1609 meters); continuous mineralized bed irregularly penetrates the hanging wall of the fault. Ore control was a vertical fault with associated fractures and fracture intersections; and the contact of Morenci shales and Modoc limestone. Ore concentration process was secondary enrichment concentrations along bedding planes of the limestone. Alteration is replacement of dolomitic limestone bed.

Area structures incude minor faulting cutting limestone and shale beds Minor faulting with little vertical displacement and significant horizontal movement along bedding planes. The source of the mineralization may be related to mineral-bearing intrusives elsewhere in the district; no minerals are found in footwall shales or basalt capping over the Modoc Limestone.

Tectonic component is the transition zone between the Basin and Range and Colorado Plateau Provinces.

Workings included one tunnel, cross-cuts, two shaft drifts, raises, and winzes, and total 302.06 meters in length and 30.48 meters deep.
