An iron mine opened by the Brule Mining Co. before 1931, at which time it was purchased by the Hanna Iron Ore Co. The property was later incorporated into the Hiawatha Group. The mine featured two levels to 490 feet depth. Only one shipment from the existing stockpile was ever made by Hanna. This mine was sometimes known as the Hiawatha No. 3. Its property description is NE-SW and NW-SE Sec. 34 T43N-R35W, which is the 80 acres between N46º4'35", N46º4'48", W88º39'48", and W88º40'25".
