An andalusite mine located 12 miles NE of Hawthorne.
Deposit: Original record groups three mines which are geographic/geologically distinctive sites. Updated file isolates and describes each individually

Development: Deposit explored As d.m.e.a. Project 2512, 1952 - 54. Some ore mined in 1949. Has been studied in adequate detail.

Geology: Andalusite, corundum, diaspore and other aluminous minerals occur in irregular silicified zones in altered metavolcanics and schist
