An asbestos occurrence located in sec. 13, T36N, R9W, MDM, 3.6 km (2.3 miles) NE of Seven Up Peak, on the divide between Bear Creek and Granite Creek on Bureau of Land Management/National Forest wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is an asbestos deposit hosted in peridotite. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 1 (Trinity Ophiolite).
Assay data: talus is peridotite with 15% asbestos. Limited promise.
