A former Cr-PGE (Pt-Pd-Ir-Rh-Ru) mine located in the NE¼SE¼ sec. 26, T44N, R8W, MDM, 3.3 km (2.0 miles) W of Bally Mountain, about 14 miles SE of Yreka.
Mineralization is a podiform chromite deposit (model #15), hosted in dunite.
Local structures include a sharp fault striking N70-75W, dipping 20-30N. Tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains accreted terrane.
