A former lode Au-Cu-Ag mine located in secs. 3 & 4, T32N, R5W, MDM, 1.2 km (3,800 feet) ESE of Whitehouse. The property consisted of 14 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in slate. The ore body is pinch and swell in form, strikes NE and dips 70SE, at a thickness of 15.24 meters. Only 1 of 6 veins was initially developed. The veins are 3 to 50 feet thick. Rhyolite dikes passing through the Old Diggings District appear to finger out into several smaller dikes on this property. Some breccia is associated with them. The ore carries a large percentage of sulphides. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 106.68 meters. The main adit is 2,300 feet long. 2 additional adits are 900 and 1,100 feet long, respectively. Later development on other veins lead to glory hole and square-cut mining methods.
