A former Ag-Au-Pb-Zn-Cu mine located in secs. 7 & 18, T31N, R6W, MDM (coordinates estimated; sections projected), 2.6 km (8,700 feet) NNE of Grouse Mountain (coordinates of record), N of South Fork Clear Creek. Located in the 1880's. Property consisted of 7 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes NE and dips 80SE at a thickness of 3.05 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included a fissure zone. The deposit consists of 2 veins, N10E and N45E. An oxidized zone occurs 50 feet below surface. The veins are thickest at surface, thin to 1 foot wide at depth. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 5 (Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 adits and a 50 foot deep shaft.
No production was recorded.
