A former Cu-Au-Ag-Zn occurrence/mine located in secs. 9, 16, 21 & 22, T15N, R14E, SBM, 2.2 km (1.3 miles) SSE of Kokoweef Peak, on the crest of the Ivanpah Mountains (6 miles SE of Mountain Pass), on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). Operated during the period 1947 to 1950. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in limestone and quartz monzonite. The ore body(ies) is/are tabular in form. The ore bodies occur mainly in limestone but within several hundred feet of the contact of a large quartz monzonite body. Limestone beds strike N30W and dip 20-40SW. They contain irregular tongues of quartz monzonite and irregular bodies of garnet-epidote rock. The limestone has been faulted along a NE-SW line, with a throw of several hundred feet. Local rocks include Cambrian marine rocks.

Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 91.44 meters. The Colorado workings involved the removal of a tabular body with a zone of 5 to 30 feet wide and is explored laterally by surface workings for about 175 feet, and also by moderately extensive underground workings. The Anchor workings explore a vein that strikes N40E and dips 70-85NW at 5 to 30 feet thick and was explored laterally for nearly 200 yards (600 feet). The workings consists of a 300 foot shaft with 3 levels. The 100 foot level is opened 120 feet NE and 500 feet SW of the shaft. The 200 foot level is opened 30 feet NE and 570 feet SW of the shaft. The 300 foot level was opened 550 feet SW of the shaft. Development work was done during the period 1950 to 1951 and consisted of 25 diamond drill holes, totaling 1,500 feet, and nearly 800 feet of drifts, raises, winzes and crosscuts.

Production date are found in: Wright, L.A., et al (1953).

Shipments from the property amounted to more than $100,000 (period values) and averaged 0.207 ounce Au, 8.0 ounces Ag and 14.26% Cu (Tucker 1943) .

Production statistics: Year: 1950 (period = 1950): ore (accurate): ^7 ounces Ag, 5.73 ounces Au and 6.2% Cu. Recovery percentage: ore: Ag = 198 grams/metric ton; Au = 162 grams/metric ton, and Cu at 6 weight percent.
