A small abandoned copper and tungsten mine.

Across 1970-1972 Central Pacific Minerals NL set up a camp, and mobile laboratory near Bonya Bore, and explored a number of small old mines and prospects in the Bonya area. Tracks were bulldozed to some of these, however in the intervening decades these have faded and become overgrown. The company names the prospect Damascus, however several subsequent sources name it Domascus. The prospect is about 4 kilometres in remote country, north-west of the Bonya Mine.

Damascus is a schist zone bounded to the south by finely foliated fine grained amphibolite, containing numerous cross-cutting small tourmaline bearing pegmatites, and garnet quartzite grading into marble. (Ransom 1978) states the deposit is found in extensive epidote-garnet calc-silicate rocks enclosed by mica schist. Bounding the schist to the north is fine grained amphibolite, pegmatite, and coarsely foliated mica schist.

The large zone of schist contains many small pods of skarn. There is a discontinuous zone of mineralisation in garnet skarn along a length of 300 metres, ranging one to 15 metres wide, showing frequent malachite staining of the rocks, and patchy scheelite.
