Benguerir Mine
Two well-individualized Paleozoic massifs are bound it: the Rehamna massif to the north (metamorphic and crystalline rocks) and the Jbilet massif (schists) to the south. The Benguerir deposit is a sedimentary type. The phosphate series extends from Maastrichtian to Lutetian and is presented as phosphate layers and waste interburdens. This deposit is an extended east–west plateau, with altitudes ranging between 396 and 596 m.
