A former lode Au mine located in sec. 21, T6N, R26E, MDM, 0.3 km (800 feet) NNW of New York Hill (coordinates of record) and 1.1 km (3,500 feet) WSW of the Masonic site, on National Forest land. Reopened in 1929. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body is 3.05 meters thick. The vein is 4 to 10 feet thick and contains some breccia or gouge. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 220 foot deep shaft, 2 crosscuts on the 100 foot level, the other S 85 feet (?), plus shallow surface cuts. A 50 ton cyanide plant was also erected on site.

Commodity information: The ore was stated to carry free Au from $3 to $40/ton (period values).

Besides the minerals listed here that were identified (with semi-quantitative SEM) during their work, Vikre et al. (2015) found phases with Cu, Sn, Se, Sb, Bi, Te, etc. that were not identified.
