A crushed & dimension stone quarry located in sec. 4, T1N, R6W, MDM, 1.2 km (0.7 mile; 3,900 feet) SSW of San Rafael center, at the S end of Clark Street in San Rafael. Operated by W. S. Nock. Active during the period 1890 to approximately 1915. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This quarry furnished crushed stone and dimension stone, including that used for the First Presbyterian Church, San Rafael.
Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
Workings include surface openings.
