A former lode Cu-Au-Pb-Mn-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 33, T11N, R12W, SBM, on the eastern spur of Standard Hill. The property is comprised of 65 acres. Owned by Alfred Sieman, Bakersfield, California and C.C. Calkins, Los Angeles, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
The vein averages 4 feet thick. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 121.92 meters. The Pride of Mojave shaft is a 65 degree incline 265 feet deep. The Desert Queen shaft is 400 feet on a 70 degree inclination. The Four Star shaft is vertical and 400 feet deep. There are levels at 70, 13 & 230 feet on the Pride of Mojave shaft with a total of 4,000 feet of workings on the 300 foot level of the Four Star shaft, a 365 foot crosscut to the Desert Queen vein with 220 feet of drifts, raise, other crosscuts and drifts on other levels.
