A W occurrence(s)/prospect(s)/mine(s) located in secs. 7, 18, 19, 20 & 30 T8S, R32E, MDM, 1.0 km (0.6 mile) E of Lookout Mountain (coordinates of record), and 8.4 km (5.2 miles) NE of Parchers Resort (3 miles E of the South Fork Bishop Creek), in the Sierra Nevada, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. Second site (?) is located 2.5 km (1.6 miles) ENE of Lookout Mountain, W of the confluence of the East and West Forks Coyote Creek, in the Sierra Nevada. NOTE: Mining complex apparently has several sites.
Mineralization is hosted in limestone and granodiorite. The ore body is lenticular in form, strikes N and dips 50W. Trenching has demonstrated that a pendant of limestone from 30 to 50 feet thick existsm in the granodiorite. There are 8 separate tactite lenses. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 3 (Eastern Sierra Nevada) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings/operations (trenching).
Analytical data results: 0.5 - 2% WO3.
