A former Au mine located in the NW¼ (estimated) sec. 30, T10S, R34E, MDM, 5.0 km (3.1 miles) WSW of Fish Springs (town) (0.7 miles E of Tinemaha or 1.9 miles NW of Red Mountain). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This mine was possibly incorporated into a later development under different name(s). Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 8 inches (20 cm) thick. The ore body is 0.2 meters thick. The quartz is described as very rich in sulfides. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 70 foot deep shaft and 50 feet of drifts.
Analytical data results: The ore assayed at about 8% in sulfides.
