A former lode Cu-Au-Ag mine located in secs. 3 & 4, T4N, R10E, MDM, 2.0 km (1.2 miles) W of Campo Seco, near the Camanche Reservoir (S of the Penn Mine). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body is 1.52 meters thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 457.2 meters and an overall depth of 121.92 meters. A shaft on the Constellation claim is 400 feet deep. Another shaft is 50 feet deep S of the Constellation cut vein (?). Diamond drilled in 1943 by the U.S. Bureau of Mines with no findings of ore.
