A Hg occurrence/prospect located in sec. 30, T10N, R21E, MDM, 0.2 km (800 feet) ESE of Mogul Peak (coordinates of record) and 3.0 km (9,800 feet) NNW of Loope, on National Forest land. Last produced in 1939. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a fissure deposit hosted in andesite (silicifeid andesite breccia). The ore body is erratic in form. Alteration is local (silicification). Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

From Wachter (1971): Cinnabar occurs in a porous gangue of quartz and alunite, or quartz and dickite. Samples with cinnabar had approximately 0.02 ounce per ton gold and 1 ounce per ton silver.

Workings include unspecified underground openings.

Assay results: to 1960: ^38 pounds/ton (17,170 grams/metric ton).

Production includes 2.5 tons of ore that yielded 101 pounds of mercury (The Mining Journal, January 15, 1941).
