A reported gemstone occurrence located in secs. 31 & 32, T23N, R5E, MDM, near Pulga, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: The MRDS databse has significant discrepancies involving the data for this locality. The MRDS file states that the occurrence is in secs. 31 & 32, T22N, R5E, MDM. That places it in mid-stream of the North Fork Feather River; however, that location does not, in any way, relate to the specifics presented regarding the actual location of the occurrence. That description places it at Pulga, from the end of the railroad tracks, to some locality at some point upstream. The T&R values presented are in error for the Township value, which should be 23. There are no railroad tracks in the vicinity of secs. 31 & 32, T22N, R5E. Pulga is located at secs. 31 & 32; however, the T&R values are T23N, R6E. The railroad tracks parallel along the river throughout the area of Pulga; therefore, those T&R values are used. The geographic coordinates provided are for the river at a point near Pulga, consistent with the description of the occurrence.

Vesuvianite occurs in the N½ sec. 32 and jade in the SE¼ sec. 31, from the end of the railroad tracks on the W side of the North Fork Feather River at Pulga and 1/_ _____ upstream.
