An U-V-Cu occurrence located in approximate central sec. 21, T40N, R21E, G&SRM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) S of Hunts Mesa (coordinates of record) and 1.1 Miles SW of Double Arch Canyon.
Mineralization is a U-V-Cu deposit with carnotite-type, and secondary copper minerals ore hosted in Late Triassic sandstone of Shimarump Member of the Chinle Formation in a 150 foot long by 20 foot deep paleochannel that trends E-W in the Moenkopi Formation. Silicified wood is present. Radiation is 10x background. local rocks include Permian to Pennsylvanian sedimentary rocks.
The carnotite is in lenticular ore pods in paleostream channels, usually with carbonaceous debris, with quartz monzonite porphyry dikes.
Remaining resources are doubtful.
