There are numerous diabase outcrops in the area around Hof, many of them quarried for some time, but now abandoned and overgrown. The mineralization is usually poor. Except for the locality at Labyrinth mountain and for massive calcite that occurs abundantly, most of the minerals listed here are one-time finds recorded during the last century.
