A pumice occurrence located in secs. 2, 3, 11 & 12, T24N, R8E, G&SRM, 12.5 km (7.7 miles) N of Sunset Crater (coordinates of record), on Cedar Ridge, on National Forest land. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 10,000 meters (sic) (based on extensive area of the deposit).
Mineralization is a pumice deposit hosted in Holocene aphanitic volcanic rock of the Nova Lima group. Local rocks include Holocene to middle Pliocene volcanic rocks.
