Complex Sn-W mineralization.
W-Sn veins related to the endogranite of an exogranite-endogranite/stockscheider system.
Lens of stratified pegmatite with W-Sn mineralization.
Strings of shear-lenses of pegmatite, with W-Sn mineralization, in tourmaline endogranite. Hübnerite is the main mineral in the wolframite series.
Several mines are located in the Santa Comba´s municipality, and the main mine, known as Santa Comba Mine is in fact a set of Sn-W mines around Varilongo Mount, known the principal mine as Varilongo mine. Currently (2012), it is worked for civil engineering aggregate, developed by the company Canteira da Mina, which are the specimens referred to this post.
However, there are other mines of W, of lesser importance, such as the Susana Mine, located south-west of the capital of the municipality, with scheelite in quartz veins, hosted by amphibolites.
