A former small underground Cu-Ag-Pb-Sb-Zn mine located in the NW¼NW¼ sec. 31, T.23S., R.16E. (Nogales 15 minute topo map), 6 miles ESE of Nogales International Airport, in Providencia Canyon; 1¼ miles east of the Golden Rose Mine; 4.0 miles NW of Washington Camp, on National Forest land. Produced 1952-1953. Operated by W. W. Todd and Joe Bostwick (1952).

Mineralization is in a NE-trending, 35SE dipping, quartz vein cutting quartz monzonite. The vein is 0.61 meters wide. Ore concentration involved oxidation at near surface. Mineralization accompanied or followed intrusion of porphyritic granodiorite in the region. Alteration includes strong potassic alteration. Granodiorite is highly shattered, sheeted, and crushed. An associated rock unit is hornblendite.

The deposits occur in the form of subordinate veins, lenses, stringers, and seams in fissures, joints, sheeting planes, and other fractures in quartz monzonite and diorite. No sulphides were noted.

Tectonic elements include the Guajolote Fault Block. The NW-trending, inferred Guajolote Fault lies to the east of the deposits with downthrow to the east.

Workings include two tunnel drifts driven in opposite directions on different sides of the gulch. The southerly tunnel is 90 feet (27.43 meters) in length. Development bagan as early as 1900.
