A former surface and underground Cu-Au-Ag-Fe-silica mine located on 7 patented claims (Black Copper, Everybody's, Bonita, Pearson's, Randolph, Popular, and Argosy) in the center NW¼ sec. 17 and in the SW¼SW¼ sec. 8, T6S, R27E (Safford 15 minute topo map), 3 miles SE of Weber Peak, on private land. Mineral survey 2585, Pat. May, 1909. Patent granted to the National Mining and Exploration Co. Produced 1904-1966. Owned by G. Anderson and Associates; J.D. Merrill and Associates (1943). Past Operators: J.D. Merrill; and the Hills Drilling and Producing Co. (1943). Additional names that apply to this property: Black Copper; Argosy; and Anderson Hill.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with an irregular ore body 1.52 meters wide, hosted in andesite. An associated rock unit is mafic intrusives.

Production data under the Horseshoe and Lonestar goes from 1904 to 1966. Production from 1907 to 1924 was reported under the Lonestar Mine; 1943 to 1966 under the Horseshoe.
