A small ancient iron mine with adits, shafts and a small open pit. It was last worked from 1938 till 1949 and produced about 500 tons of annealing ore (Tempererz) on the site until 1960. Traces of the mining activities in the Middle Ages in the form of typical pieces of slag can still be found.
One adit was still accessible in 1995 for a length of approximately 300 feet.
Located at N47.04178 E15.37495 about 400 m north of the Buchkogel at an elevation of approximately 610 m above sea level. More remains of mining activities are found on the west slope of the Buchkogel at N47.03919 E15.37176. Both locations are along the hiking track 2b.
