East Central Monte Cristo Range. NOTE: USGS MRDS locality info is incorrect, the actual location is in N1/2 Section 18, T3N R38E, and is currently under claim for Turquoise by Otteson family and others under different claim names without reference to original "Carr-Lovejoy" Group. GPS: 38.11941, -117.793377 (2019 May).
Commodity: Turquoise of fine blue color; exceptionally hard.
Deposit: Turquoise found in small porphyry dikes in small veinlets and seams with botryoidal, lumpy surfaces. Tends to occur as streaks of lenticular or nodular masses.
