Name(s) in local language(s):
Donnersbachwald, Donnersbachtal, Niedere Tauern, Steiermark, Österreich
Located in the upper Donnersbach valley, a minor southern branch of the Enns valley in the northern Niedere Tauern mountains.
Hornblende and almandine are found in large blocks of mica schist (Glimmerschiefer) in and beside the creeks.
Best chances to find these minerals are after heavy rains when the floods have turned over the creek bed.
