Sedimentary Pb-Zn deposit in Triassic limestones of the Wetterstein formation. The mineralizations extend over a distance of about 7.5 km, from the Kasten Alp in the west to the Vomper Loch (Vomperloch) in the east. The deposit was intermittently worked in the past by several mines east of the Kasten Alp, south of the Halleranger Alp and in the upper Vomper Loch. From 1951 to 1954, an exploration adit (Stefanie adit) was driven from the Kasten Alp to the southwest. The reserves are estimated to 4 million tons of ores, with lead and zinc contents of 1.5 wt-% and 8 wt-%, respectively.
