Minerals recovered from rocks excavated during the construction of the tunnel in the early 1970s. At distances of 335 m and 500 m south of the northern entrance, mineralizations similar to those in the gold mines near Schellgaden were found. Since the tunnel joins Salzburg and Carinthia, specimens can be labelled as coming either from Salzburg or from Carinthia. The minerals found on the Carinthian side, however, are not included here, but listed separately.

The tunnel was originally built as a single tube only. A second tube is built since 2005.

The coordinates mark the northern entrance to the tunnel.
