The Vigra mine, one of the more important producers of gold within the Dolgellau gold belt, worked a continuation of the St David's lode of Clogau Mountain.

An application to mine here was made in 1833 and the mine was worked for copper with Clogau mine during the 1840s. Following bankruptcy in 1857, it was jointly owned with Clogau between 1861-67 before again passing into independent ownership. Work stopped in 1897 but was resumed briefly after the First World War. However, little work was done after 1879.

Owing to its constant inclusion in archives with Clogau, nothing is known of the independent output of Vigra Mine.
