Deposit: There is another dike south and immediately west of the main dike. It is 225 ft long, 30 ft wide and appears to plunge west. It was worked around 1885 but shows no potential at the present time. (jahns, 1946) see also: cribbenville group ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept discovery year: 1600's
Development: This mine was first worked by the early spanish settlers. It is reputed to be the oldest mine in the petaca district.
Geology: The deposit occurs in the petaca schist member of the ortega quartzite.
