The Bullfrog No. 2 is a prospect located southeast of Silver Hill consisting of two small trash filled pits and dumps. No information on its history or name can be found. It was first discussed and named in a presentation at the New Mexico Mineral Symposium in 1982 (Moats and North, 1982). It is also recorded on the map in the Abandoned Mines Survey of the Magdalena Mining District in 1986.
The Bull Frog No. 2 is considered a micro mineral collecting site, the minerals are found associated with baryte and quartz in the local volcanic rocks. Unfortunately, a recent visit (2024) found that the site has been well collected and micro-minerals are becoming scarce on the dumps.
