Name(s) in local language(s):
Cantiere Falcacci (Le Cavacce), Miniera di Rio (Miniera di Rio Marina), Rio Marina, Isola d'Elba, Livorno, Toscana, Italia
Placed between Antenna and Rosseto, it is one of the historical stopes (164-175 m above sea level) of the mine; modern exploitation began in the first years of 1800 and ended in 1962.
The old cutting is well visible from Rio nell'Elba.
The main vein is hematite and limonite with subordinated pyrite; in this stope, the pyrite bed (at sea level at Vigneria) reaches the maximum altitude.
