An abandoned Fe mine close to the lake Langsævannet in Arendal, behind Bomuldsfabrikken, Oddenveien 5. Mining started here in the 1570s. It was beside the Steinsås Fe mine, the oldest Fe mine in Arendal (and Aust-Agder). Epidote was described from this mine by d'Andrada in 1800 under the name akanthikone (acanthicone).
