Cu-Zn skarn deposit. The largest deposit in the Alder Creek mining district.
Located 5.3 km SW of the town of Mackay.
The mine includes surface and underground workings. It was operated between 1902 and 1930 and intermittently since then. Total recorded production between 1902 and 1975 was 921,077 tons of ore. From this were obtained 41,421 ounces of gold, 1,294,531 ounces of silver, 61,689,291 pounds of copper, 24,110 pounds of lead, and 908,078 pounds of zinc (Mitchell, 1997).
