A gemstone occurrence/locality located in the center sec. 11, T2N, R6W, and/or in sec. 30, T3N, R5W & in secs. 13 & 26, T3N, R6W, NM, 6.2 km (3.9 miles) E of Sawmill (village) and about 10 miles North of Fort Defiance.

Mineralization is gemstone material hosted in ultramafic intrusive rock/kimberlite. Associated rocks include Pliocene kimberlite. Local rocks include Middle Miocene to Oligocene shallow intrusions.

Stones are found in the detritus accumulated by ants in and around Buell Park. Stones have been scavenged by hand methods. Labor necessary to cut and polish the stones would seem to preclude any larger, commercially profitable operation.
