Ancient iron and manganese mining area ('Erzberg' = ore mountain). Located southeast of Hüttenberg and northwest of Lölling.

Synsedimentary siderite ores (Mn-bearing; fresh to completely weathered) and Alpidic hydrothermal baryte layers and veins with sulphidic ore mineralisations (Pb-Cu-Sb-S).

Mining stopped in 1978.

Now a tourist mine.
