Ancient gold mines, working a series of NNE-SSW striking gold-bearing quartz veins. The northern extensions of these veins were worked on Grieswies-Schwarzkopf mountain in the upper Hüttwinkl valley (Salzburg) (http://www.mindat.org/loc-56079.html). Located on the slope below the Goldzechscharte, NNW of Goldzechkopf mountain.

Three main areas:
Upper Goldzeche with Fundgrube at alt. 2940 m, Frauenstollen at alt. 2886 m and Bartholomästollen at alt. 2855 m;
Middle Goldzeche with Christophstollen at alt.2830m and Glücksstollen at alt. 2772 m;
Lower Goldzeche with Annastollen at alt. 2700 m and Unterer Goldzechstollen at alt. 2640 m.
