Pb-Zn mining in Roman and Medieval times.

Probably a generic location for the many mines in the area. The excellent specimen of brown pyromorphite on display in the Natural History Museum in London and located as "Devil's Bridge" is thought to come from Frongoch Mine (SN722744).
