Native copper found as subhedral masses to several centimeters across during excavations for a sewer line around 1962 at the NE corner of the intersection of Quince Orchard Road (route 124) and Longdraft Road. It occurred in a quartz-epidote vein that trended NNW along a ridge in a diorite porphyry that is converted to talc-bearing schist along shear zones.
