Just east of the summit of the Kloben, at an elevation of roughly 2900 m above sea level, a system of gold-bearing quartz veins disseminates phyllites and micaschists. The veins were worked both from the northern (Salzburgian) and the southern (Carinthian) side of the mountain. Located about 3.5 km NW of Hochtor pass.
